Mountain West Lighting installs and removes Christmas and holiday lighting for homes and businesses in Utah. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it.

Mobile information and text messaging

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

All of the categories described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Information may be shared with subcontractors who provide support services to us — such as customer service and message delivery — solely so that they can perform that service on our behalf, and never for their own marketing.

We never sell, rent, or trade mobile phone numbers or messaging consent to anyone, including lead generators and data brokers. If you opt in to text messages, that consent belongs to your relationship with us alone. Our SMS Terms & Conditions describe the messaging program, its frequency, and how to stop messages at any time.

What we collect

Contact details — your name, service address, billing address, email address and phone number.
Service information — the property, the lighting design, measurements, photographs of the property taken for the design, quotes, invoices and payment records.
Communications — emails, text messages and notes from calls, so that anyone on our team can see what has already been discussed.
Consent records — whether you have agreed to receive email or text messages, when you agreed, and how.
Website information — basic technical information such as your IP address when you submit a form, used to prevent abuse.

How we use it

To quote for, schedule, install, maintain and remove your lighting.
To contact you about your appointments, your invoice, and your service.
To send seasonal booking reminders and occasional offers, where you have agreed to receive them.
To keep records required for tax, insurance and accounting purposes.

We do not use your information to build profiles for advertisers, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on our booking forms.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it is needed to run the business:

Service providers acting on our behalf — email and text message delivery, payment processing, and software hosting — under an obligation to use it only for that purpose.
Our crews, who receive the address and job details needed to carry out the work.
Where the law requires it, such as a lawful request from a public authority.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep customer records for as long as you remain a customer and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and warranty purposes. If you ask us to delete your details, we will do so except where we are required to keep a record.

Your choices

Text messages — reply STOP to any message, or contact us.
Emails — use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.
Access, correction and deletion — contact us and we will correct or remove your details.

Opting out of marketing does not stop essential messages about work already booked, such as telling you a crew is on the way.

Security

Customer records are held in a password-protected system accessible only to authorised staff, served over an encrypted connection. Stored credentials are encrypted, and access is limited to what each role needs.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
